• Can copy CDs
• Parental Advisory, staff may stop purchase
• Own a physical CD in a fancy case
• Buy the full Album
• People may be tempted to buy more music
• Impulse purchases
• Deals, eg. BOGOF
• Easier to navigate offers

Online:

• Better for environment - production
• Can pick individual track
• Online is cheaper
• Can stay at home and shop
• Digital Rights Management
• Easy to store
• ITunes offer a backup code for lost items
• Audience tempted to buy more through suggestions
• May result in job losses
• Search engine
• “Lag” time to wait for postage
• Back catalogue is limitless
